This employee performs a variety of entry-level environmental sampling and laboratory tests on water or wastewater, records results, and maintains quality control in a laboratory. Performs related work as required. Minimum Qualifications (KSAs) (Illustrative only. Any one position may not require all of the listed KSAs nor do the listed examples include all the KSAs which may be required.) Knowledge of:Analytical, organic, inorganic and environmental chemistry, biochemistry, bacteriology, and microbiology sufficient to learn to perform and interpret tests on water and wastewater. Basic quality control procedures sufficient to perform and record results. Basic scientific laboratory testing procedures sufficient to learn to perform a specific test. The metric system sufficient to perform accurate readings and conversions from U.S. measure to metric. Basic mathematics and basic research statistics such as range, mean, and mode.
