Dominion Energy South Carolina has an opening for an Apprentice Linemen for Electric Distribution Operations in Bluffton, SC. The position will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with the construction, operation and maintenance of overhead and underground electric lines on our distribution system. Responsibilities include: - Regularly climb and work from utility poles and other tall structures - Safely handle heavy/bulky equipment and materials - Be available to respond to callouts and urgent needs 24 hours/day, 7 days/week - Work outside in inclement weather conditions - Consistently adhere to safety rules to work in proximity of high and low voltage electric equipment - Successfully complete the four (4) year apprenticeship training program which includes both written and hands-on instruction.
