This is a mid-level epidemiologist position responsible for conducting surveillance, investigation, and analysis of diseases and other public health issues within the state of Florida. The incumbent works under the general direction of the Public Health Services Manager B-SES, applying the principles and methods of epidemiology to identify and characterize health problems, investigate outbreaks, and contribute to the development and evaluation of public health interventions. This role requires a strong foundation in epidemiological methods, data analysis, and technical communication. Surveillance and Investigation: Conduct routine surveillance activities for infectious diseases, communicable diseases, and other health conditions of public health importance.
