The Release of Information (ROI) Technician works under the supervision of the HIMS Compliance Manager. The ROI Technician is responsible for answering the phones consistent with service excellence standards, addresses and/or routes calls appropriately and in a timely manner. The ROI Technician will provide updates to requestors, supply requestors with options on requesting medical records; assist with logging requests processing mail, as needed. Demonstrates an understanding of the release of information process, including regulatory requirements and Riverside's policies and procedures. The ROI Technician safeguards and protects the patients right to privacy through HIPAA compliance; maintains a professional office environment and provides excellent customer service by being attentive and respectful.
