Job Description & RequirementsCDI SpecialistStartDate: 8/25/2025 Pay Rate: $48.00 - $60.00Position SummaryCDI Specialist (Remote)POSITION DUTIESPerforms patient record reviews to determine complete, accurate and timely documentation of all conditions that support hospitalization and treatment of the patient. Present queries to physicians when needed to clarify ambiguous or incomplete documentation. Must have knowledge of ICD-10, Complications/Comorbid Conditions and their role in the final Diagnosis Related Group, Severity of Illness, and Risk of Mortality.Minimum Required QualificationsMust be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Requires one of the following certifications: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS)Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist Outpatient (CCDS-O)Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP)Cert Professional Coder (CPC)Nursing: Must have 4 years experience in nursing or combination of inpatient coding with at least 2 years experience of CDI.
