Our firm has a Field Service Technician opening with one of the fastest growing distributors in this space. The company has been in business over 50 years and this opening is a growth position. This is an opportunity to grow within the ranks of the service department as they continue to grow.
About the job:
- Inspect, diagnose & perform repairs to customer's equipment in-house & on-site at customer locations. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment when needed.
- Maintain and manage parts inventory on your service truck. Prepare for field service jobs by loading the required materials and parts to perform work at customer location.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues regarding equipment and repairs.
- Read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and drawings.
- Keep up to date with factory training, tech tips and service bulletins.
- Maintain detailed records and documents of equipment, including repair history.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Compensation:
$35 - $45 per hour+ opportunity to earn commissions and work overtime. First year range is 72K - 93K with no cap on earnings. Company truck + company credit card for gas and ordering parts/supplies. Tablet, cell phone and continued education is provided. Full medical, dental, vision, 401k.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience working in a shop or in the field on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems or experience heavy equipment maintenance experience.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment systems.
