Preconstruction Manager

This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced Preconstruction Manager / Senior Estimator who's ready to take ownership of preconstruction. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all preconstruction activities from initial lead intake through project award
- Lead estimating efforts for competitive bids and negotiated projects
- Coordinate closely with business development, operations, and executive leadership
- Develop workflows, tools, and systems to streamline and standardize precon processes
- Build and mentor a high-performing preconstruction team
- Participate in proposal preparation and presentation strategies
- Ensure accuracy in cost estimating, budgeting, and risk evaluation
- Maintain a pulse on market conditions, subcontractor pricing, and industry trends
Required Experience
- 4–10 years of estimating experience in federal or government construction.
- Proven leadership experience—able to mentor and grow a team
- Strong understanding of design-build project delivery methods
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Estimating, or related field preferred
- Proficiency with estimating tools such as Excel, RS Means, e4Clicks, or similar platforms
- Strong communication and organizational skills
