Job Description

This position requires daily travel to locations in and around Baltimore, MD, including the airport.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment in the field; providing customer training as required
  • Documenting inspections, maintenance, and repairs; submitting paperwork timely
  • Ordering, installing, and returning parts; managing repair parts cycle time
  • Reviewing logs for open issues and preparing reports for customers
  • Participating in service sales opportunities and promoting revenue programs
  • Maintaining tools and test equipment
  • Assessing product performance and recommending improvements
  • Providing technical support to customers and professionals
  • Participating in site surveys, pilot programs, and meetings
  • Possessing basic technical knowledge of Trace and X-Ray technologies
  • Maintaining clear business communication, both oral and written
  • Building relationships with senior FSEs and Product Managers to support customer needs and stay updated on technical trends
  • Minimizing costs through various measures
  • Travel, overtime, and work hours outside Monday-Friday may be required
  • Complying with health, safety, environmental policies, and export regulations
  • Performing other duties as required
Qualifications

Education/Training: Associate's Degree, related trade certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical), military training, or equivalent work experience (1-3 years in electrical or mechanical field service). Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office and specialized software.

Experience: 1-3 years in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems.

Knowledge/Skills: Excellent communication, customer focus, teamwork, responsiveness, and willingness to travel on short notice.

Supervises: May supervise others on a project basis, though not a primary responsibility.

Background: Requires SSI access and TSA vetting; must pass a federal background check.

  • Ability to lift 80 lbs, push/pull 200 lbs, move equipment up to 1000 lbs with assistance

Work Environment

Typically at customer locations such as airports, correctional facilities, courthouses, or ships. May require SSI access and U.S. security clearance.
