Summary
As an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and supporting the Store Manager in overall store operations to meet company goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with hiring, training, and developing store team members as delegated by the Store Manager
- Support all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager
- Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
- Help protect and secure company assets, including cash
- Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Maintain a professional, friendly environment for customers, staff, and supervisors
- Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery
- When the Store Manager is absent, oversee hourly team members
- Process all corporate directives from SSC
- Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise
- Manage freight flow in collaboration with the Store Manager
- Meet or exceed productivity standards
- Support ordering and stocking of merchandise
- Maintain stockroom organization
- Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily
- Implement directives from the Store Operations Weekly Bulletin
Qualifications
- Prior retail and management experience preferred
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs, with frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting, with or without accommodations
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
