Our client, a nationwide provider of high-quality food products has an immediate opening for an experienced Director of Maintenance,to join their winning team in Collingswood.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance management program that includes preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies.
- Plans, drives, and oversees maintenance system programs to meet plant requirements.
- Creates and recommends purchasing plans to implement plant policies and objectives and to attain optimum utilization of machinery and materials; with overall cost reduction.
- Manages a team of mechanics and is responsible for the maintenance of the entire plant and all equipment.
- Oversees and manages the system to schedule and plan preventative maintenance jobs, using KAIZEN and One Point Lesson (OPL) on a regular basis to improve plant efficiency.
- Handles and reviews negotiation from contractors such as, quotes and cost estimates. All while monitoring expenditures, reconciling purchases, and maintaining accurate vendor files.
- Enhance our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other maintenance systems.
- Contribute to sustainable initiatives such as site inspections and energy surveys while remaining abreast of current legislation to ensure corporate compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in a maintenance management role or similar position within an industrial or commercial setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC systems, logic controllers, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
- 7 to 10 years of maintenance experience in food processing facility is required.
- Ability to perform and comprehend verbal and written communication in English; Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred.
- Experience in budgeting, planning, estimations and building rapport with all team members.
- Effective leadership abilities and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good working knowledge of regulatory, legislative, and business environment required
