Position Overview

Leads, directs, and coordinates the work of subcontractors and trade labor regarding mechanical systems. Ensures safety, schedule adherence, quality, and budget compliance. Supervises Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Interns, and trade labor.

Responsibilities
  • Manage work performance related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality, and staffing.
  • Coordinate trades to promote smooth project operations and resolve issues.
  • Oversee site safety programs and ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.
  • Supervise and develop team members, including performance reviews.
  • Develop schedules, sequencing, and recovery strategies to meet project goals.
  • Communicate with owners, architects, and engineers regarding field issues.
  • Manage billing, including work in place, payrolls, invoices, and payments.
  • Ensure installation compliance with contract documents.
  • Coordinate mechanical and electrical layouts with engineers and architects.
  • Lead inspections, startup, commissioning, and handover processes.
  • Monitor subcontractor activities for conformance with plans and codes.
  • Review project changes with the Project Engineer.
  • Keep detailed records of work progress.
  • Participate in preconstruction planning.
  • Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 6+ years in relevant construction fields. Knowledge of building systems, design coordination, and BIM. Strong communication and leadership skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reading technical documents.

    Physical & Work Environment

    Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and work in construction environments with potential hazards. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally. Work includes exposure to noise, weather, and mechanical hazards.
