The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for strategic and day-to-day HR-related duties and coordinates people related activities including culture development, employee relations, performance management, benefits, leave of absence, and HR policies and procedures. The HRBP also partners with our Recruiting and Training teams to facilitate a smooth and engaging onboarding process. An essential function of the HRBP role is to partner with employees and managers to ensure a positive, collaborative working experience at OCH!

Supporting primarily The Dalles & Hood River Clinics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of dispute resolution.
  • Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Able to prioritize and organize work according to multiple, and at times competing timelines while meeting individual, team and organizational goals with a high level of quality and safety.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to use initiative and good judgment to resolve problems and challenges.
  • Able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment that values collaboration, while also demonstrating independence, self-direction, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong relationships management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
  • Able to work independently, work with multiple projects and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • High level computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and other systems
  • Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Knowledge of customer service and workplace safety.
  • Identify learning needs and goals and design a plan to meet them.
  • Able and willing to work in a dynamic and changing community health care environment.

Education, License, and Certification

SHRM-CP or PHR highly desired.

Experience

A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.

Prior employee relations, leave of absence, and benefits management experience preferred.

Understand and work with FQHC, healthcare clinics, HRSA requirements

Compensation:

  • Salaried/Exempt: Starting at $79,000 annually
  • Bilingual Differential: Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.
