Job Summary:

The Director for Compliance reports directly to the Vice President, Director of Athletics and serves as the chief compliance officer for the athletics department. The successful candidate will lead compliance efforts, work with third-party vendors, and serve as a key advisor on compliance matters, ensuring adherence to NCAA, Conference, Lamar University, and Texas State University System rules.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily operations of the compliance office and ensure NCAA compliance.
• Develop and enforce policies to maintain institutional control.
• Act as liaison with NCAA and conference on compliance issues.
• Educate staff, coaches, student-athletes on NCAA and conference rules.
• Manage compliance technology platforms and reporting.
• Coordinate investigations and documentation of violations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in NCAA compliance or athletics administration.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules.

Preferred:

• Master's degree.
• 3-5 years of experience.
