About the Role
At Vaulted, we aim to rapidly develop new sites and deliver high-quality carbon removal. Many sites are in waste-sheds with numerous potential waste providers. As the Senior Manager, Waste Sourcing, you will be responsible for sourcing waste for sites that align with our business objectives and growth plans. Responsibilities include:
- Waste Sourcing: Manage an onsite team to source waste for Vaulted's Great Plains site, ensuring volume, quality, and economic goals are met.
- New Site Waste Scoping and Sourcing: Assess waste markets for future standalone facilities by engaging with potential waste partners, gathering samples, and evaluating the market. Maintain relationships as Vaulted secures permits and constructs new facilities.
- Troubleshooting: Address challenges with waste streams, leading cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to pre-processing, logistics, and material quality.
- CDR Quality: Maintain high-quality Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) by adhering to industry-standard biomass sourcing principles.
- Pipeline Management: Oversee Vaulted's waste pipeline for future sites, providing forecasts and updates to leadership.
- Internal Coordination: Collaborate with operations, data, and CDR teams to ensure material meets Vaulted's standards.
- Safety: Enhance SOPs for waste sampling and ensure adherence to best practices in sampling and business activities.
What You Will Bring
Successful candidates will possess excellent sales management, creative problem-solving, and team leadership skills, thriving in a fast-paced startup environment. Required qualifications include:
- 8+ years' experience in sales management or similar roles, with at least 1 year managing a team
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Strong pipeline management skills with data-driven forecasting
- Basic understanding of material quality, sampling, hypothesis testing; scientific background is a plus
- Experience sourcing biomass, working with agricultural producers, or in waste markets is a bonus
- Passion for sustainability and climate change mitigation; knowledge of carbon removal is helpful but not necessary
