Position Summary
Pyx Health is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Information Technology to lead our IT function during an exciting phase of growth and transformation. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day IT operations, including help desk support and infrastructure, while also shaping and executing the long-term IT roadmap aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Roadmap
· Develop and execute the IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with Pyx Health's strategic initiatives, scalability goals, and security requirements.
· Evaluate and recommend new technologies, systems, and vendors to improve efficiency and performance.
· Partner with leadership across departments to anticipate future technology needs and ensure IT readiness.
IT Operations & Infrastructure
· Oversee the design, development and maintenance of IT Systems and infrastructure, including cloud systems, and cybersecurity.
· Ensure the security of the organization's IT assets, data, and infrastructure by implementing and maintaining appropriate cybersecurity policies and practices.
· Ensure uptime, availability, and performance of internal systems and tools.
· Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Help Desk & End-User Support
· Manage a high-performing help desk function that supports onsite and remote staff across multiple states.
· Ensure timely resolution of user support requests, maintaining a high level of service and satisfaction.
· Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and user satisfaction metrics.
People & Vendor Management
· Lead and develop a growing IT team, including technicians and external contractors.
· Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective solutions and quality service delivery.
· Ensure IT team performance aligns with business needs and service expectations.
Governance & Security
· Maintain and enforce IT policies, procedures, and controls to ensure security, compliance, and data integrity.
· · Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends, innovations, and best practices, recommending relevant advancements to improve operational efficiency.
· · Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST).
Preferred Qualifications
· 8+ years of progressive experience in IT, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
· Proven experience managing help desk operations and IT infrastructure in a mid-sized company (100-500 employees).
· Experience creating and executing an IT roadmap that supports growth and operational excellence.
· Hands-on knowledge of cloud environments, SaaS tools, and endpoint management.
· Strong vendor management and budgeting skills.
· Excellent communication, project management, and leadership capabilities.
· Experience and Knowledge of HITRUST Framework
· Healthcare or high-compliance industry experience preferred.
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's degree a plus).
