Sr. Reliability Engineer (Finance)

Honeywell, located in South Bend, IN, has an immediate opening for a Senior Reliability Engineer. This facility is committed to maintenance excellence and mechanical reliability. The position focuses on improving fixed equipment reliability through Reliability Engineering principles, statistical data analysis, and supporting work processes for the South Bend site.

As a Sr. Reliability Engineer at Honeywell, you will lead a team to ensure product reliability, drive improvement initiatives, and manage resources efficiently. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and optimize performance.

Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering plus 4 years of hands-on reliability engineering experience in heavy industrial settings. Alternatively, 15 or more years of relevant experience without a degree.
We Value:
  • Ability to analyze data from equipment history records (SAP, work order system, equipment files, vendor research) as the basis for reliability plans.
  • Extensive experience in Fixed Equipment reliability (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, relief devices, piping systems, utilities-related fixed equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, hot oil systems, water treatment).
  • Self-starter with effective team leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, or other CAD systems.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Experience implementing new techniques and technologies, such as equipment reliability and predictive maintenance, to continuously improve department operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating investigation of keynote failures associated with fixed equipment and materials of construction.
  • Engaging additional materials or experts as needed to resolve issues.
  • Maintaining Design Standards for Fixed Equipment and materials of construction.
  • Collaborating with inside and outside customers to maintain production equipment.
  • Responding to and assessing plant issues, including off-hours.
  • Knowing when, where, and how to resolve issues to minimize downtime and ensure safe, environmentally responsible actions.
  • Overseeing capital projects.
