  • The title Flight Mechanic (FM) is also known as Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) and Flight Mechanic Engineer (FME).

General

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Maintenance, interacting with the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, Systems Operations Control staff, and flight crews. Responsibilities include managing daily aircraft maintenance tasks related to the Company's aircraft and engines. The candidate must demonstrate thorough knowledge of all FAR aircraft maintenance requirements, possess good communication skills, and embody the company's values and culture, especially in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft maintenance according to manufacturers' recommendations and approved procedures;
  • Meet aircraft at transit stations, check maintenance logs, and respond to discrepancies;
  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on aircraft;
  • Reference manuals such as the Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Structural Repair Manual, and wiring diagrams; complete paperwork accurately per GMM procedures;
  • Use only approved hardware, parts, and equipment;
  • Promote teamwork among maintenance personnel and flight crews;
  • Help maintain facilities and equipment as directed;
  • Uphold safety and security procedures;
  • Obtain additional qualifications through training as needed;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or higher;
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate;
  • Ability to pass assessments demonstrating basic line maintenance knowledge under part 121;
  • At least two (2) years of experience on commercial aircraft in a part 121 environment;
  • Ability to travel on short notice;
  • Ability to operate maintenance vehicles and aircraft tugs;
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Physical ability to crawl, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a team environment;
  • Valid Driver's License and a driving record meeting insurance standards;
  • Active Passport;
  • Pass a drug, alcohol, and criminal background check;
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and online manuals;
  • Ability to multitask and work outdoors in seasonal weather;
  • Flexible work schedule based on seniority;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • Ability to work in elevated areas;
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, sometimes lifting objects over 70-100 pounds;
  • Adherence to local COVID-19 vaccination rules, if applicable.
