ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Accounting Manager position is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including the Accounts Payable Team. This person will be responsible for month-end closing (journal entries, reconciliations, reports), and account analysis.

• Participate in monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports)
• Management reporting.
• Coordinate and complete internal and external audits.
• Prepare P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for quarterly audits.
• Responsible for Chart of Accounts maintenance in the general ledger and reconciliation system in coordination with corporate/shared service accounting teams.
• Prepare Mexico entries in compliance with GAAP and IFRS requirements.
• Prepare Lease accounting schedules and entries in compliance with GAAP and IFRS
• Supervise accounts payable and accounting team.

Skills And Abilities Required

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role.
• Strong analytical skills and good work ethic
• Excellent attentiveness to detail
• Strong self-starter and ability to work independently and with little supervision.
• Able to meet deadlines given with accurate and complete information.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
• ERP implementation experience is a plus.

Computer Equipment And Software Requirements

• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• QAD or another ERP experience a plus

Education And Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
• 5 or more years of accounting experience in a medium to large-sized organization
• Distribution industry experience is preferred.
• GAAP and IFRS experience are preferred
