Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Plant Operations Director is responsible for oversight and direction of the functions associated with Environment of Care issues including Plant Operations, Emergency Management, Life Safety, Hazardous Materials, Safety and Security for the facility. The Facilities Engineer will ensure that fiscal functions of the facility are conducted in accordance with generally accepted practices and specific practices as established from, time to time, by the facility and the corporation. The Facilities Engineer will also ensure that practices of the facility are in accordance with all state, federal and local laws as well as regulatory agencies such as Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA and NFPA. The Facility Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the facility, which include keeping records of facility and environmental files, in scheduling workflow, assigning duties to the maintenance clerk and managing contracts or other contractors. Maintains safety checks on non-patient care equipment within the facility. The Facilities Engineer is also responsible for establishing, directing and maintaining all aspects of safety including emergency management, fire safety, security, plant maintenance, and for implementing policy and procedures under these areas.
Qualifications:
Must be computer literate with basic fundamental computer skills that are required to perform essential job related duties.
