Job Title Director of Academics – Leadership Academy Network Position Summary Essential Duties and Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: | FREQUENCY1. Assists the Senior Officer to actively monitor and manage instructional quality Cycle, including participation in campus growth walks and delivering structured feedback. | 10%2. Work with campus Academic Content Specialists to support instructional planning, vet/develop assessments, and monitor classroom instruction. | 10%3. Oversee implementation and development of Lead Support Teacher Model. | 10%4. Monitors, vets, and customizes current curriculum implementation and makes recommendations to further enhance the curriculum program. | 10%5. Supports Senior Officer and school leadership teams to embrace a culture of continuous improvement, including using data to drive instructional decisions | 10%6. Provide leadership and innovation for enhancing teaching and learning through the identification, evaluation, adoption, and integration of effective educational innovations into the curriculum. | 5%7. Assist in the development and implementation of effective and efficient assessment systems and data collection process | 5%8. Support school leadership teams to attract, select, develop and retain highly effective educators | 5%9. Continues to acquire professional knowledge focused on 21st century learning and content integration by attending professional meetings and conferences. | 5%10. Manage partnerships related to academic and student support programming (i.e., curriculum, coaching, social-emotional programs) | 5%11. Promote peer learning opportunities and inter-campus communications to encourage network- wide collaboration and sharing of best practices. Support the Senior Officer in representing and communicating the Leadership Academy model,particularly among peer districts/educator networks. Synthesize findings/trends to share with LAN staff and the Steering Committee. Identify professional development needs for LAN campuses and work closely with the Texas Wesleyan School of Education to design programming. | 5%SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise campus level instructional support teams including Academic Content Specialist(s), Gifted and Talented Specialist and Early Learning Specialist (FWISD).
