Community Engagement and Retreats Program Assistant

Full-Time 40h/wk $31,205.00/year 10% Travel Business Casual Attire

Touch of Nature's Community Engagement and Retreats Program Assistant position is now open, and we're looking for someone who's passionate about event planning, community building, and creating meaningful outdoor experiences for all people.

This is a full-time position that helps bring to life community events, retreats, and group programs at Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center. It's a dynamic role that involves:

  • Coordinating and supporting events (think everything from setup to social media!)
  • Assisting with logistics, communication, and client relations
  • Occasionally participating in programming like hikes or team building
  • Maintaining records, supplies, and providing customer service
  • Managing small client contracts independently and supporting larger contracts and community-wide events
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering community events and retreats, including logistics, staffing, and on-site coordination
  • Participating in event setup and breakdown, including assistance in the kitchen during community events
  • Supporting marketing efforts such as social media scheduling, website updates, digital asset management, and content creation
  • Assisting with programmatic offerings like team building, hikes, or high adventure activities as needed (training provided)
  • Facilitating and maintaining accurate event records through EMS, Student Manager, Active Registration, and internal documentation
  • Providing excellent customer service via email, phone, and in-person communication
  • Maintaining supply inventory, tracking deliveries, and assisting with operational tasks
  • Reporting maintenance concerns promptly
  • Supervising and supporting student workers and seasonal staff as needed
  • Working a varied schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Performing other duties as assigned

  • Additional education, training, or work experience relevant to the position may be required.
