Field Service Technician II

About the Role:

The Field Technician II at Boston Scientific will interact with patients to perform service-related activities such as troubleshooting, warranty decisions, complaint handling, sales orders, RGA's, event registration, and candidate requests. The role requires compliance with all regulatory requirements related to complaint handling and maintaining data accuracy within BSC business systems.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Reporting of field activities
  • Electronic troubleshooting and component replacement
  • In-servicing/training medical personnel
  • Preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Reporting complaints and documenting in the complaint handling system
  • Equipment upgrades
  • System installation
  • Performing other related duties and special projects as assigned

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work independently with some supervision and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong computer networking, troubleshooting, administrative, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as Digital Multi-Meters and safety analyzers
  • Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time, often on short notice
  • Own a vehicle less than five years old meeting insurance requirements and maintain a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs occasionally

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional experience in biomedical, electronics, or related fields
  • Over 2 years of field service experience, preferably with medical equipment
  • Experience in technical roles in medical, military, or related areas
  • Specialized experience in electrophysiology, laser, medical imaging, or cath lab procedures
