Job Description:Concord Counseling Services, a community behavioral health center located in Westerville, Ohio, is seeking a dynamic, innovative, Executive Director to lead the agency toward fulfilling its mission, maintaining financial sustainability, and enhancing our community partner relationships. We are looking for an Executive Director that is ready to serve with their heart and provide effective strategic leadership into the future.
The Executive Director job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Setting the agency vision and direction and ensuring all staff understand the agency's mission statement.
- Overseeing day to day agency operations, to include all departments within the agency.
- Facilitating the development of client-centered and culturally competent behavioral health programs and services that meet community needs.
- Ensuring developmental and educational opportunities for all staff
- Exercising sound fiscal management, effectively evaluating budgets and contracts, and executing appropriate business decisions.
- Developing and implementing agency policy and procedures in compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Providing direct supervision to the Associate Director, Chief Financial Officer, Director of Clinical Data and Quality, Director of Human Resources, Medical Director, Grant Writer, Executive Administrative Assistant, and IT personnel and others positions, as necessary.
- Providing oversight to and collaborating with the Leadership Team and the Executive Team in order to meet agency objectives.
- Providing leadership and information to the Board of Directors, in accordance with the purpose and policies of the Board of Directors.
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate relationships with ADAMH and other community agencies
The Executive Director Qualifications:
- Clinical Master's Degree in behavioral health or a related healthcare/business-related degree required.
- Current Ohio state professional clinical licensure that may include a social worker, professional counselor, psychologist, nursing, or a similar healthcare license.
- Ten years post-masters including direct clinical practice, administration, planning, fiscal management and community organization, including a working knowledge of staffing, recruitment, planning, budgeting, grant application and community mental health issues.
- Ability to provide and develop behavioral health services, ability to interest and motivate organizations and citizens, and possess strong commitment to coordination of services.
- Ability to communicate articulately and effectively in a verbal, non-verbal and written manner. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Capable of relating to board members, staff, clients and others of diverse age and demographic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to utilize computer technology proficiently. Willingness to learn the EHR system and documentation process as necessary.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to sufficiently to evaluate data, make judgments and recommendations regarding operations and budgets, design protocols and generate well developed reports.
- Must have the physical ability to perform job as described in the job description. Must have the ability to drive an automobile. Must have the ability to travel around the Columbus metropolitan area, and possible outside of the area, to attend training, meetings and other events as designated. Must maintain a valid Ohio driver's license and use of personal automobile are required.
