Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Supply Chain Manager – Inbound Transportation leads a small team focused on optimizing inbound freight operations. This role combines hands-on data analysis with team management to improve transportation performance, reduce costs, and strengthen partnerships with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers. The Manager plays a key role in executing transportation initiatives that align with KeHE's Mission, Vision, and Values
Essential Functions• Lead and develop a team of analysts or coordinators, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback to support professional growth and business objectives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve inbound transportation efficiency, develop freight solutions, and support broader supply chain initiatives.
• Leverage transportation systems (e.g., Blueprint workflows, Manhattan TMS, & other KeHE systems) to manage inbound operations, optimize payload utilization, and enhance on-time delivery performance.
• Monitor freight spend and margin impacts, identify inefficiencies, and guide the team in executing corrective actions.
• Produce and review analytical reports and dashboards to support both the inbound transportation team and other business units.
• Support internal decision-making by maintaining reports, dashboards, databases, identifying key performance indicators, and communicating insights to stakeholders.
• Work with the Accounting Team to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide root cause analysis for freight-related variances.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude• Working knowledge of freight operations, transportation management systems, and logistics industry standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SQL, Power BI, Arrowstream, and Manhattan TMS is preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and delegation skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to manage large datasets, identify trends, and present actionable recommendations.
• Effective communicator across multiple levels of the organization, including external partners.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
