Purpose of Position
The Solution Architect (SA) is responsible for providing architectural direction and leadership on assigned project teams. The SA develops and documents high-level solution architectures, scopes projects, estimates efforts, researches tools, evaluates technologies, and mentors team members. The SA works across project teams, Product Owners, and Enterprise Architects, managing multiple tasks concurrently while adhering to NetJets standards and best practices.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provide architectural leadership and stay current with technology trends to drive innovation.
- Scope, estimate, and document high-level solution architectures for new projects.
- Communicate effectively with business users regarding requirements and design.
- Mentor project team members and lead a Center of Excellence if applicable.
- Author and maintain standards, processes, and procedures.
- Create reference architectures and manage the technical lifecycle.
- Research and recommend new technologies to address business needs.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.

- 6+ years of architecture experience with leadership and mentorship.

- Experience with Cloud platforms: AWS, Salesforce, SAP, GCP, Azure.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD, distributed applications, web applications, relational databases, and security standards.
- Proficiency with Git, API design (OpenAPI, GraphQL, ODATA), Docker, Kubernetes, and other listed technologies.
