The Opportunity:

As an engineering manager at Veson Nautical, you will lead two software engineering teams responsible for designing and building software for our SaaS platform. We seek a candidate with experience managing development teams and a passion for software engineering who leads by example.

Our technology stack includes C++, SQL, React, and supporting frameworks. We operate a global deployment across multiple AWS regions, serving a geographically dispersed user base.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support two development teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Drive architectural decisions and provide technical direction aligned with product and business goals.
• Mentor and coach developers, supporting their career growth and technical excellence.
• Partner with stakeholders across product, engineering, and operations to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.
• Contribute to the codebase as needed to unblock teams or support critical initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in software development, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong technical background; familiarity with C++ is advantageous, but we welcome candidates adaptable to our stack.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather requirements, break down user stories, and meet deadlines.
• Experience with large-scale SaaS platforms and cloud-based microservice architectures is highly desirable.
