Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as an Accounting Manager. The Accountant Manager will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day financial operations of the company, maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing financial data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily accounting activities required to maintain the company's general ledger in all aspects.
• Prepare and record assets, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
• Ensure completion and review of all reconciliations for Month End Closing (Accruals & Provisions, Inventory Depreciation, etc. …).
• CAPEX; Maintain Fixed Asset register, booking and review.
• Reconcile and Maintain balance sheet accounts (sales collection, clients Deposits and Credit Notes, Banks,).
• Review Lease agreements and Reconciling expenditures (Base Rent, CAM and other store related Charges).
• Co-ordinate and manage the month end and year end closing process
• Review, manage, reconciles all direct and indirect tax payments
• Prepare expense analysis for VP of Finance and other department heads
• Prepare documentation for the annual and interim external audit.
• Lead/Assist in special projects, process improvements, system upgrade as needed
• Support VP of Finance to investigate existing process and upgrading to bring efficiencies
• Prepare monthly cash forecasts
• Support budget and forecasting activities.
• Perform other accounting duties and support the accounting team as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor/master's degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in accounting roles
• Experience in Retail/Luxury Retail preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proven records of working with spreadsheets
