East West Tea is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Equipment Maintenance Manager to join our Operations team! The Equipment Maintenance Manager will be a hands-on leader who is experienced in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is eager to make a meaningful impact by driving equipment reliability, safety, and performance. This role focuses exclusively on production equipment, partnering closely with Safety, Quality, Production, Facilities, and Supply Chain to ensure equipment performance aligns with business goals. This is a key operational leader who supports safe, reliable, and efficient production by developing and executing a world-class maintenance strategy.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN:

Safety & Culture 15% of time

  • Build and model a culture of safety, both people and food, ensuring all maintenance activities follow best practices, in compliance with federal and local regulations
  • Lead and develop a safety-minded team of technicians with an emphasis on hazard identification, LOTO compliance, continuous learning, and root cause analysis

People Management 20% of time

  • Perform all managerial duties including performance evaluations, coaching and feedback, goal setting, engagement action planning, recognition, and development
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Maintenance Technician team to meet operational and business strategies

Equipment Strategy and Reliability 35% of time

  • Develop and execute a site-wide equipment maintenance strategy focused on safety, product quality, uptime, reliability, and cost management
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and in compliance with all internal policies and regulations. Stay updated on emerging policy or regulation changes
  • Own and report on key maintenance KPIs including uptime, food safety, and PM compliance

Standards and Controls 20% of time

  • Establish and maintain maintenance standards, including work instructions, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides
  • Oversee technician training and certification to ensure skills match equipment and compliance requirements
  • Drive consistent use of the CMMS for work order tracking, inventory control, and maintenance history
  • Support company product projects with trials, test design, and technical advice

Budget and Capital Expense 10% of time

  • Partner with Engineering on the selection, installation, and commissioning of new equipment
  • Manage the maintenance operating budget, ensuring spending aligns with business objectives and cost efficiency

WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; equivalent experience in manufacturing maintenance may be considered
  • 5+ years of progressive maintenance or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally food, beverage, or CPG
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC-based systems
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and building development plans
  • Proficient in CMMS systems and maintenance KPI reporting
  • Lean Manufacturing background strongly preferred
  • Familiar with compliance/GMPs and CFR Parts 111/117
