Responsibilities
Abides by and demonstrates the company's Mission, Vision, and Values through both behavior and job performance on a day-to-day basisSupervises the provision of assistance to person(s) served to promote their physical, social, and psychological well-beingMonitors and ensures staff follow agency procedures to promote safety, health care, and behavior supportsEnsures staff completes all required documentation to maintain quality servicesPromotes the rights of persons served to achieve an enhanced quality of life through staff interactionsEnsures Material Data Safety Sheets are available for all supplies/chemicals as applicableConducts timely performance reviewsSupports a work environment that upholds dignity and fair treatment of staffParticipates in recruitment, fills vacancies promptly, and contributes to hiring and termination decisionsEnsures appropriate staff deployment and staffing ratios in compliance with regulations and service plansPrepares and posts schedules efficiently, and maintains training and orientation recordsReviews staff documentation and provides feedbackTrains staff on Material Data Safety Sheets for chemicals/suppliesServes as a positive role model and supports staff developmentConducts staff counseling and corrective actions, including work improvement plansEnsures OSHA standards are met, with proper documentation of training and complianceSupports individualization of persons served by reflecting their personalities in living areasImplements systems for medical waste disposal, collection, and storageOversees Best in Class initiatives for assigned sitesProvides feedback on staff documentation and ensures activity schedules are developed and implemented for each person servedOversees service plan implementation and compliance with audit systemsCoaches staff on client rights, including choice issuesAssists with incident and accident report reviews and trackingResponds to emergencies involving persons servedParticipates in investigations involving persons served and staffMonitors labor hours, operating within budgetary guidelinesEnsures timely financial documentation and trust fund requestsMaintains a safe work environment to minimize injuries and manage claimsMonitors service site expenses relative to budgetsTrains staff on financial and administrative controlsQualifications
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience
- Experience supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries preferred
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexibility to work varied hours and cover shifts as needed
- Experience managing systems, processes, and people
- Knowledge of regulations concerning services for individuals with acquired brain injuries
- Proficiency with calculators and general office equipment
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven supervisory skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Care Administration, Social Science, or equivalent work experience in brain injury or residential services; exceptions require approval
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
