Planning Integration Manager - US, Ohio - 12 Month ContractThis is a fantastic opportunity for aPlanning Integration Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.Responsibilities:
- Own the integrated project schedule across all construction and operational readiness phases, ensuring alignment with program milestones and business goals.
- Proactively monitor workstream activities, identifying delays, resource gaps, or cross-functional misalignments before they impact progress.
- Provide regular, independent updates to leadership on risks, bottlenecks, and execution gaps—offering clear solutions, not just reporting issues.
- Drive resource-loaded scheduling and ensure the right teams are focused on the right priorities at the right time.
- Assess whether the project is making the necessary interdepartmental connections to stay on track; escalate breakdowns and follow up on unresolved issues.
- Review and challenge EPCM and contractor schedules for logic, realism, and alignment with owner goals.
- Track actual vs. planned progress and drive action where deviations exist, ensuring accountability for commitments and critical activities.
- Validate critical path assumptions based on real-time site conditions, not just schedule data.
- Engage with field teams and engineers to anticipate downstream issues and support strategic, long-range planning.
- Inform Paul (or site leadership) once key actions are complete and flag impacts to schedule or performance proactively.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Requires extensive experience in planning/scheduling for large-scale capital projects; pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
- Proven ability to act independently and with authority—escalating concerns, proposing solutions, and keeping leadership informed.
- Deep expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Advanced skills in resource loading, schedule integration, and strategic planning.
- Strong understanding of construction execution, work package alignment, and trade sequencing.
- Ability to foster accountability with EPCM/contractor partners through detailed planning insights.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
