Job Description :

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Utilize materials, workforce, and production facilities efficiently; supervise and coordinate manufacturing and processing operations effectively; maintain costs at or below predetermined estimates.
  • Assume responsibility for the activities and conduct of each employee in the department, including knowing their whereabouts during working hours.
  • Implement programs, methods, and procedures that comply with manufacturing policies and meet departmental objectives.
  • Train production workers to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Measure and evaluate the performance of production workers.
  • Employ qualified personnel for manufacturing and production roles; recommend promotions and terminations as needed.
  • Maintain employee goodwill and morale.
  • Delegate authority to leads and key personnel to enable effective job performance.
  • Work with the manager to keep complete and accessible production records and rates for all operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely requisitioning of materials and supplies.
  • Analyze equipment and facilities for improvements; recommend and evaluate new equipment needs, submitting proposals for approval.
  • Report progress of manufacturing jobs compared to plans; keep the manager informed on department status.
  • Request maintenance and repairs promptly for equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain inventories of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods at economical levels aligned with company policies and customer demands.
  • Recommend near-term and future improvements in manufacturing, production, and operations.
  • Inform management of potential new products and processes to diversify company operations.
  • Maintain neat housekeeping and fire prevention measures.
  • Skills and Abilities:

    • 3+ years supervisory experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
    • Detail-oriented with problem-solving and prioritization abilities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).
    • Willing to work an off shift.
    • Knowledge of line setups for hand assembly.
    • Independent thinker and self-motivator who can take direction.
    • Ability to adapt to change is critical.
