$180,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Role Summary

My client is seeking an experienced Accelerator Physicist to lead and support the development of a high-reliability ion source and low-energy beamline for their next-generation accelerator systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize beam dynamics models for the ion source and LEBT.
• Design and support ion source test benches for stable, high-intensity proton beams.
• Implement fault-tolerant, redundant system strategies.
• Conduct experiments and analyze diagnostics data to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Drive reliability-centered design through proactive failure analysis.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Accelerator or Particle Physics (or related field).
• Strong expertise in beam dynamics and accelerator system modeling (e.g., IBSIMU, TRACEWIN).
• Proven experience with reliability analysis and mitigation strategies.
• Hands-on work with ion sources and ECR systems.
• Experience with fault-tolerant design in accelerator environments.
• Familiarity with advanced diagnostics and AI-assisted data analysis.
