Join Seneca's stellar multi-disciplinary team.As the Crisis Counselor on the team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for youth and will intervene as necessary to assist the youth in developing skills for growth and maintaining stabilization. The Crisis Counselor will have the opportunity to provide crisis support, facilitate daily groups and individual sessions, and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team in daily clinical treatment planning for youth.About Ventura County Crisis ServicesSeneca's Ventura County Crisis Services program offers a spectrum of behavioral health care crisis services to support youth and their families. These services provide safe refuge for young people who have experienced profound mental health needs including psychiatric evaluation or hospitalization. Services include crisis stabilization and short-term acute residential treatment, as well as transition and planning services to return youth to a setting in the community with stability.About SenecaSeneca Family of Agencies is committed to providing traditionally marginalized communities a network of outstanding mental health, community based, and educational services. • Assist clinician in intake process, including assessment and creating a welcoming environment for the youth.
• Intervene in the youth's behavior as needed, providing stabilization services.
• Work in coordination with the parent and/or social worker as treatment team members, including assisting the social worker in the preparation of a Care Plan.
• Engage the youth in therapeutic activities and projects.
• Complete daily progress notes and quarterly summaries.
• Provide supervision for visits with family when necessary.
• Participate in weekly supervision with the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork including, but not limited to, mental health notes, time sheets, petty cash, and mileage.
• Provide on-call response as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintain a flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 21 years of age.
• TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies' insurance policy.

Preferred

• Bilingual (English and Spanish).
• Experience working with youth or families providing mental health services.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Current available schedules:
• Thursday, Friday (11:00am-11:30pm) Saturday (7pm-730am) 24 hr. on-call Tuesday
• Saturday- Monday (7:00pm-7:30am) 24 hr. on-call Wednesday

• Starting at $21.86 - $24.36 per hour.
