Winslow House Care Center is a non-profit, 50-bed nursing home located in Marion, Iowa. Winslow House offers both skilled and long-term care. Our small size helps residents feel at home in a beautiful residential setting while making participation in engaging activities easy. This is a Monday - Friday position with occasional weekends and evenings due to emergencies. You would also be required to participate in the MOD weekend rotation.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
Establishing and maintaining inventories of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring all equipment functions properly. May require using personal tools and equipment.Developing and maintaining a facility preventative maintenance program, possibly collaborating with other department heads.Performing cleaning procedures according to facility policy, demonstrating proper care of janitorial equipment, and observing infection control and universal precautions.Performing routine maintenance tasks using painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical skills as appropriate.Overseeing general maintenance of grounds and building, and performing waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.Following oral and written directions and accepting duties cooperatively.Arriving on time and as scheduled, responding to emergencies during off-hours, and demonstrating dependability and punctuality.Attending in-service meetings for maintenance staff and other required training.Following Rights policy at all times.Adhering to facility safety policies and procedures, ensuring personal safety, and complying with OSHA, State, and Federal regulations, while monitoring facility compliance.Physical activities include balancing, climbing, crouching, grasping, kneeling, lifting (75-100 lbs or more with assistance), pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, and stooping. Exposure to environmental conditions, extreme cold, hazards, and vibration may occur.We offer:
