OverviewThe Director of Operations reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for the administrative direction, evaluation and coordination of assigned departments in the Practice ensuring operational objectives and results are optimized to meet the needs of Practice.
OverviewThe Director of Operations reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for the administrative direction, evaluation and coordination of assigned departments in the Practice ensuring operational objectives and results are optimized to meet the needs of Practice.Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Oversight of Clinical Operations, Ambulatory Surgery Center, MRI/X-ray, Ultrasound, Advanced Practice Providers and Work Comp Teams.
- Provides leadership to assigned areas in a manner that encourages a collaborative work culture.
- Utilizes data and reports to formulate and implement changes in operations to respond and adapt to changing health care needs
- Develops and implements new ideas and best practices and seeks innovative ways to enhance operations.
- Makes clinical decisions for the betterment of the Practice
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- A change leader. Able to adapt behavior and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.
- Proven ability to adjust rapidly to new situations warranting attention and resolution
- A high orientation to detail with proven analytical and financial skills.
- Ability to encourage open dialogue and delegate authority and accountability comfortably
- Strong systems-thinker; able to see the entire picture and what needs to happen to make functions flow smoothly and efficiently.
- Ability to anticipate and manage change considering how the Practice will be affected
- Skilled in coaching, counseling and developing people
- Promote the use and implementation of technology in order to streamline operations, facilitate communications, and optimize work processes
- Allocate financial, information, and human capital for improvement activities to ensure delivery of cost effective and efficient services to patients
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in Orthopedics preferred
- Experience as a Clinician preferred
- At least 5 years' experience and proven success in the management of multi-disciplinary healthcare teams in lieu of clinical experience
- History of successful execution of strategic initiatives in a physician practice or other healthcare setting in lieu of clinical experience
