We are looking for a Municipality Strategic Partnerships Office Disabled Fellow to support SayPro's engagement with local government departments and strategic stakeholders in the public sector. This opportunity provides exposure to high-level partnership work while advancing inclusive municipal development initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Fellow will assist with monthly and quarterly activities under the SayPro Municipality Strategic Partnerships Framework, including but not limited to:
Quarterly Municipality Strategic PartnershipsSupport the design and execution of partnership plans and collaborative initiatives with municipalities.
Assist in mapping and engaging municipal departments for potential collaboration.
You will provide support and coordination across various specialized municipal functions:
Municipal Communications & Customer RelationsEngage with municipal communication teams.
Support strategic messaging and media relations.
Facilitate stakeholder communications and relationship-building.
Liaise with municipal leadership, councilors, and executive offices.
Assist in preparing partnership documents, presentations, and briefings.
Explore collaboration opportunities in municipal HR capacity building.
Support digital transformation and IT partnership discussions.
Assist in reviewing strategic policy documents and identifying synergy areas.
Facilitate legal partnership agreements and compliance discussions.
Coordinate initiatives on performance management, contract oversight, and data-driven decision-making.
Engage with innovation and organizational effectiveness units.
Support strategic partnerships in housing delivery, tenancy management, informal settlements, and integrated urban planning.
Engage stakeholders around climate change, resilience, sustainable energy, and disaster risk management partnerships.
Support collaboration in libraries, social development, recreation, parks, and early childhood development services.
Must be a person with a disability (proof required).
Strong interest in municipal governance, public service, or development partnerships.
Good communication and administrative skills.
Ability to work across diverse departments and functions.
Computer literacy and proficiency in email and document handling.
Direct experience in municipal governance and partnership management.
Mentorship from experienced professionals in local government relations.
Exposure to multidisciplinary municipal areas.
Certificate of completion and professional references upon successful completion.
