This position requires working various hours, including evenings and weekends. Examples of Duties•Creates marketing materials promoting all aspects of the Community Activity Center, including programs, memberships, rentals, and special events, through print and electronic media platforms.•Supervises the Community Activity Center building during regular weekly shifts.•Assists with supervision of Tot Drop, concessions, and front desk areas, including part-time staff.•Develops and implements programs designed to increase sales and memberships.•Oversees facility rentals and birthday parties, including inquiries, tours, bookings, staffing, and follow-up.•Serves as the system administrator for the Parks and Recreation Services Department's registration software.•Leads and models high-quality customer service and assists with front desk operations.•Assists in the budgeting process, including purchasing supplies and reconciling credit card purchases.•Supports the implementation of other Parks and Recreation programs as needed.•Keeps supervisor informed of work-related activities.•Adheres to the personnel, safety, and departmental policies and procedures.•Assists other co-workers as needed.•Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation, Physical Education, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, six (6) years of experience as a Recreation Coordinator, Programs Coordinator, Special Events Coordinator, or a related position Desired QualificationsExperience with design software, including Adobe Creative Suite products.Experience in program development, facility operations, and event coordinationKnowledge/ Skills / Abilities Excellent leadership, organizational, training, and communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to maintain effective and positive working relationships with citizens, the general public, employees, and volunteers.
