The Patient Care Specialist is responsible for providing information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinical services. May be assigned to specific medical specialty department (e.g., plastic surgery). JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Medical assistant diploma from an accredited vocational institution, or a community college course in medical assisting, or currently enrolled. Minimum Work Experience Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical spa as a care specialist or medical assistant and/or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office. Required Licenses/ Certifications CPR Medical Assistant certification (must obtain within 26 months from date of hire in the position) Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Knowledge of health care field and medical office protocols/procedures.
