Shift: 4x10s, DaysContract Length: 140 weeks (long-term contract)Guaranteed Hours: 40/weekCare Setting: Acute – Operating Room

Requirements

• Experience:
  • No first-time travelers
  • Must have Ortho, robotics, neuro, and GYN experience (robotics is a deal-breaker requirement)
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • RNFA
  • CNOR
  • BLS
  • ACLS
• Skills: OR Circulator for multiple specialties; comfortable with high variety of cases
• Floating: Required to float between two facilities

Common Surgical Cases

• Orthopedics: Totals (knees, hips, shoulders), knee & shoulder scopes, TSAs (frequent)
• Urology: Cystos, ESWLs, TURPs, penile prosthesis, orchiectomies, open prostates (no nephrectomies)
• GYN: Hysterectomies, D&C, slings, robotic hysters, GYN oncology, salpingo-oophorectomy
• Neuro: Ortho spine, brain tumors, craniotomies, subdural hematomas, transsphenoidal tumors, VP shunts
• Other Specialties: Hands, podiatry, DaVinci, vascular (AV fistulas, thrombectomies, carotids, fem-pops), general surgery (open/lap/robotics), ENT, pediatrics ENT, bariatrics, eyes

Scheduling & Call

• Days (4x10s)
• Weekend call may be required
• Forced Call: If staff calls out and no volunteer is available, a rotation list will be used (rare occurrence)
