This position does not have direct reports.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, the Lean BPI Analyst will lead the implementation of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Employees in this job class will conduct training sessions on Lean and Six Sigma principles, facilitate workshops such as Kaizen events, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on various Lean BPI initiatives. This job class requires knowledge of lean process improvement and project management concepts.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

1. Assist in the enhancement and development of Lean BPI training curriculum and processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

2. Lead and mentor members of Lean Community of Practice of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to promote a culture of continuous improvement.

3. Foster a problem-solving mindset across teams, encouraging proactive identification and resolution of process inefficiencies and promote continuous improvement.

4. Represent the Lean BPI department in cross-functional projects, providing expertise in Lean and Six Sigma practices to drive improvements.

5. Facilitate and lead workshops for process mapping and Kaizen events and other relevant improvement activities ensuring effective execution of initiatives.

6. Support workshop teams by offering guidance on proposing solution(s), providing estimates for project milestones, and assisting with change management activities.

7. Identify and evaluate potential improvement opportunities, developing business cases for Lean BPI projects to secure stakeholder support.

8. Develop detailed project plans and assist cross functional teams in the successful execution of plans to achieve business objectives.

9. Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to key stakeholders.

10. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels to influence decision-making and drive results.

11. Stays abreast of current best practices, trends and technologies for continuous improvement.

12. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Five or more years of experience in business process improvement or a comparable combination of formal education or work experience.

Demonstrated experience with the application of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen concepts.

Proven experience managing projects using structured format similar to concepts from Project Management Institute with the ability to lead and facilitate project team meetings.

Familiarity with change management concepts and practices, with ability to navigate organizational transitions effectively.

Advanced computer skills including proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint) and experience with MS Project and Visio for project tracking and documentation.

Strong history of leading process or efficiency improvement projects that successfully achieved project goals and objectives.

Solid understanding of documenting best practices and the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records throughout the project lifecycle.

Ability to establish priorities and solve a wide range of business problems while managing multiple objectives or projects concurrently.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop actionable solutions.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to make presentations and respond to inquiries by management, team, vendors, and/or customers.

Human relation skills to build effective relationships with team and internal and external customers.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Business Administration or related field. A comparable combination of formal education and work experience will be considered.

CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED:

The following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements:

Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt Project Management Professional

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:

Accessing and interacting with a computer screen or monitor through visual displays, screen readers, or magnification tools

Inputting information or navigating using a keyboard/mouse, adaptive devices, or a voice recognition software

Communicating by phone or alternative methods such as test relay services, video calls with captioning or ASL, or speech to text messaging tools

Facilitating and participating in meetings through virtual platforms or in-person settings, using tools such as captioning, assistive listening devices, or communication supports as needed

Delivering presentations or trainings in virtual or in-person environments, with the option to use visual aids, alternative formats, or assistive technologies to support diverse communication needs

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a hybrid position with 2 or more days in office. In office work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise. Employees may be required to work in excess of 8 hours in a day and/or 40 hours per week.
