Revenue Cycle Supervisor
The Revenue Cycle Supervisor is responsible for overseeing various aspects of the revenue cycle process to ensure quality, accuracy, productivity, and compliance. This role primarily supports supplier-led assigned components and involves auditing and monitoring of quality and productivity, supplier support and oversight, managing work queues, assisting with data analysis to meet key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintaining appropriate staffing levels to ensure timely completion of tasks. The position requires a hybrid work arrangement, with responsibilities divided between onsite work and remote work.
Essential Functions
- Takes a lead role in providing support to suppliers to ensure they meet performance and compliance standards.
- Extracts, compiles and analyzes complex financial and statistical data and/or analyzes and reviews complex processes in order to make recommendations for change as needed to improve revenue cycle processes and metrics.
- Assesses resource requirements for projects, creates and maintains project work plans, and provides timely project status reports.
- Manage workqueues to ensure timely and accurate processing of revenue cycle tasks. Monitor workqueue assignment to ensure accountable users, supervisors, and departments are assigned.
- Ensures department KPIs and business needs are being met for assigned area of focus by evaluating, monitoring data/reports and managing staff levels.
- Assumes accountability for the quality and timeliness of the team's deliverable, ensuring the achievement of team goals and objectives in addition to individual goals and objectives.
- Monitors, interprets, and administers industry regulations within area of responsibility and communicates changes to staff and management as appropriate.
- Establishes, evaluates, and monitors staff work to ensure productivity quotas and quality standards are met. Initiates performance management concepts in accordance with CH policies as appropriate.
- Demonstrates professional communication, including verbal and written.
- Actively monitor volumes to ensure appropriate staffing levels are assigned to meet operational needs and support business objectives.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting, HIM or related field. Emphasis in health care, business management, accounting, HIM or related field.
- 3 years of relevant experience in revenue cycle.
- CRT-Revenue Cycle Representative, Certified (CRCR) - HFMA Healthcare Financial Management Association required Or
- CRT-Healthcare Financial Professional, Certified (CHFP) - HFMA Healthcare Financial Management Association required
Preferred:
- Supervisory or management experience
- Experience with Epic
- CRT-Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) - AHIMA American Health Information Management Association preferred Or
- CRT-Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - AHIMA American Health Information Management Association preferred Or
- CRT-Coding Specialist (CCS) - AHIMA American Health Information Management Association preferred Or
- CRT-Professional Coder - AAPC American Academy of Professional Coders preferred
