Maintenance Engineer (Part-Time)

The Maintenance Engineer (Part-Time) position is responsible for providing technical and maintenance services throughout the hotel to keep the hotel's general equipment and systems in excellent condition.

The responsibilities include:

  • Approaching all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintaining regular attendance standards.
  • Having knowledge and understanding of all department policies and procedures.
  • Performing routine preventive maintenance.
  • Assisting with preventative maintenance and completing report work orders.
  • Assisting in checking electrical systems.
  • Assisting in checking and making routine repairs and assisting on major repairs of all hotel equipment.
  • Service the hotel's pool.
  • Maintaining the building exterior.
  • Refurbishing furniture and fixtures within guest rooms.
  • Responding in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and/or requests.
  • Operating heavy machinery.
  • Repairing or replacing defective equipment parts.
  • Diagnosing mechanical problems and determining how to correct them.
  • Assembling, installing, and repairing wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Performing maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
  • Communicating with other departments pertaining to guest room conditions.
  • Maintaining clean and orderly work areas and storage rooms.
  • Performing other duties as requested by management.
  • Attending or all/training/meetings as required by management.
