The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, plumbing, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems in campus facilities. Maintenance Technician services provided are in accord with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents.

About the Role:

The Volunteer Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the impact of our health care services through effective volunteer management. This position is responsible for recruiting, training, and overseeing volunteers who contribute to various community outreach programs. The coordinator will ensure that volunteers are well-prepared and supported, enabling them to provide valuable assistance to our organization and the communities we serve. By fostering strong relationships with volunteers and community partners, the coordinator will help to expand our reach and improve service delivery. Ultimately, the goal is to create a sustainable volunteer program that enhances the overall mission of our health care services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have a minimum of two years in community relations, public affairs or related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Knowledge and experience working in a nonprofit organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer recruitment strategy to attract diverse candidates.
  • Conduct training sessions for new volunteers to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Schedule and assign volunteers to appropriate roles and responsibilities.
  • Evaluate volunteer performance and provide ongoing support and feedback to enhance their experience.
  • Collaborate with community organizations to identify opportunities for partnership and outreach.
  • Plan and execute volunteer appreciation initiatives.

Skills:

The required skills in fundraising and volunteer management will be utilized daily to secure resources and effectively oversee volunteer activities. Volunteer training and recruiting skills will be essential for onboarding new volunteers and ensuring they are prepared for their roles. Community outreach and social services knowledge will guide the coordinator in identifying community needs and aligning volunteer efforts accordingly. Public speaking skills will be employed during training sessions and community events to effectively communicate the organization's mission and engage stakeholders.
