Research Technician I
: Job Details :

The technician works under the direction of the Principal Investigator or higher-level laboratory personnel. They use limited discretion and judgment in carrying out experiments. Perform experiments at the bench level to support investigative work. Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents, stocks, cultures or cell lines. Acquire human tissue specimens at various sites within the UW/ Fred Hutch system. Perform and modify documented protocols and assays. Maintain laboratory records and compile data on experiments and assays. Interpret and report on experimental results. Perform statistical analysis of test results and prepare written reports on work performed. Interact with various Hutch cores (processing, genomics, flow etc) to coordinate experiments. Operate and carry out basic maintenance of laboratory equipment. Order and maintain appropriate levels of supplies.
