Maintains automotive parts inventory for district buses and vehicles. Determines proper part application, and assists Transportations mechanics with problem resolution. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Receives and stores automotive parts for use in district buses and vehicles. Transfers automotive parts to satellite facilities, as needed. Issues parts to mechanics and processes transactions to maintain accurate parts inventory. Transfers automotive parts to satellite facilities, as needed. Coordinates and processes emergency parts requests. Monitors inventory for re-stocking points. Requests stock numbers. Conducts annual physical inventories.
