Assist as required with sorting room operation. Cross train in all sorting room functions under the guidance of the Sorting Room Supervisor. Assist in cleaning and general maintenance of sorting room area. Maintain a clean and clutter free work area. Responsible for baling as needed. This position will support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing to beneficiaries; an example of professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed by Supervisor). Other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor and/or Administrator. Sorter Process and sort donations by inspecting and separating saleable from unsaleable items. Deliver a minimum of 300 store quality garments per hour. Categorize and box seasonal clothing, bric, and shoes. Hanger/ Tagger Process, hang, and tag all sorted merchandise.
