The Athletic Program Assistant serves as an assistant for Sport Studies, Recreation, and Athletics (SSRA), and provides administrative support to the Athletic Director (AD). As a member of SSRA, this position collaborates with other SSRA members to develop an athletic, recreational, and physical education environment that aligns with the goals of Whitman College and meets the needs of faculty, staff, and students. This position works 1,560 hours over 12 months (0.75 FTE), or 30 hours per week. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Program Assistant (95%) Assist coaches and students in the various programs within SSRA (Varsity Sports, Club Sports, Intramurals, and SSRA course offerings). Greet and assist visitors, including students, parents, faculty, and staff, in person, via email, voicemail, or by answering phone calls and responding in a timely manner.
