The Department of Chemistry in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University seeks outstanding candidates for the prestigious Barton Chair position, a tenured appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or full Professor. The candidate will be expected to lead and maintain an externally funded research group, supervise graduate students as part of their research effort, carry out classroom instruction (nominal load of two courses per year) and contribute to the service and/or committee needs of the department, college, and university. The candidate will have experience in any area of chemistry. Required Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Chemistry or related field. Must have been awarded tenure in a PhD-granting department. Preferred Qualifications:Highly qualified scholar with an extensive publication and external funding record. Current rank of Associate or Full Professor in a PhD-granting chemistry department.
