The Machine Operator performs complete machine operation, to produce WIP and finished good to support the production floor. Operation includes machine set up, maintenance, troubleshooting and quality assurance. While assuring efficient manufacturing of a quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Responsibilities:Support and comply with safety and environmental guidelines Perform changeovers and completes changeover setup form. Arrange assistance for changeover. Responsible for the cleaning of blenders and other equipment for material changes. Pre-blend and oversee the blending or mixing of resins off-line as well as online. Complete paperwork for production sheet, labor log, scrap sheet and daily functional check sheet. Make sure scrap gets weighed and recorded on shift paperwork or entered in MRP system. Set all secondary equipment (printer, punches, venting, portable winders, etc.) and test functionality to assure proper set-up and operation.
