The Patient Transport/ Driver is responsible for providing transport of patients to and from the hospital for various tests, procedures, therapy and treatment. As approved by manager, transports a variety of medical equipment and or supplies. Transports other staff members, VPs, etc. when request to various meetings or events. Responsible for ensuring patients/passengers arrive on time for scheduled tests, rehab, therapy, etc. Plans daily routes and patient distribution in advance to ensure that all schedules are meet. Ensures safe transportation of patients and/or passengers. Responsible for vehicle upkeep, maintenance, cleanliness, and gas records. Demonstrates a caring, sensitive approach to all passengers. Liaison with other Health Care staff as necessary. Minimum Qualifications:Education: High School Graduate or equivalent. Experience: Preferred at least one year of experience as driver/patient transport. Licensure/ Certification: Must have a current valid SC Drivers License.
